WFD Sweeping Program by Lanval Family Foundation

The Lanval Family Foundation is currently running a Workforce Development (WFD) Sweeping Program in the City of San Francisco. This program provides disadvantaged and formerly incarcerated individuals with janitorial and sanitation skills training, job placement assistance, and holistic support services. Our goal is to increase employment opportunities, promote economic stability, and empower participants to succeed in the workforce. Through this program, we are creating pathways to economic opportunity and upward mobility for all members of the public. While achieving the earlier stated goal, Lanval Family Foundation also helps the County and City of San Francisco in its effort to keep the city clean. Top of Form

Program Components:

Training Workshops: The program offers comprehensive training workshops focused on janitorial and sanitation skills, including proper cleaning techniques, equipment usage, safety protocols, and workplace etiquette.
Job Placement Assistance: Participants receive personalized job placement assistance, including resume writing support, interview preparation, and connections to local employers in need of janitorial staff.
Holistic Support Services: In addition to job-specific training, the program provides holistic support services to address participants’ broader needs. This includes access to childcare assistance, transportation support, and financial literacy education to ensure that individuals can overcome any barriers to employment.
Ongoing Mentorship: Participants benefit from ongoing mentorship and support from program coordinators, who provide guidance and encouragement as they navigate their journey towards economic independence.
